Celebrating Moms in the Hudson Valley

Every Mom deserves something special on Mother’s Day. Luckily there are many things to see and do locally.

Mother’s Day traditions vary from a formal brunch, to an impromptu picnic, quiet afternoon in the garden or day of shopping and pampering. At HBC we prefer a simpler day.

Our broker, Dora, uses the day to plant flowers and relax. Agent Andrea enjoys spending the day with her mother. “A tradition my mom and I did on Mother’s Day would be to go out and get bagels and lox and head over to Nyack Beach State Park and have a picnic (sometimes a car picnic if it was cold and raining) and enjoy the river views. We would then head over the Bear Mountain Bridge to Cold Spring to go antiquing and walk around. Then we would have some lunch at the Cold Spring Depot.”

The Hudson Valley has many great restaurants, spas, garden centers, unique gift boutiques and beautiful views from our State Parks. Being so close to NYC you could also take advantage of all the city has to offer.
